This beautiful old girl was brought into us for tuning and general maintenance.

The engine was the part the client wished us to have a look at as he was having some issues with reliability.

The first thing to do was tuning this beautiful classic car. On inspection of the spark plugs we noticed that they were black so that was a great indication that all was not well. Readings were taken and measured with the engine so that we had a base line to work to. we noticed that the battery was not connected properly which is often the case , as its an old car and people and mechanics often fail to do basic observations and tests.

With this particular car, the tuning was completely out. It needed new spark plugs and its carburettors cleaned as well as having new needles. The cylinders had a compression test before and after we tuned this classic car. Also one of the big issues with a Bristol Blenheim is that of the fuel pipe. It can be very dangerous as it needs to be uprated in the engine bay from plastic to metal  as this can cause the engine bay to ignite if it splits as can be seen from the photos.

We were successful in tuning this classic car and making it safe. The result was a finely tuned classic car with no further issues. A fantastic Yorkshire classic car restoration.
