Triumph Stag restoration.

This car came to us in a very sorry state. It had been languishing in a barn for 15 years so the task for us was immense. Needless to say we relished it with great enthusiasm as it was a surprise car for the clients father who had left it in a barn 15 years ago.

The engine, gearbox axle and running system had to be taken out before we blasted the car back to bare metal incidentally there was not a lot of paint left on the car so it was a relatively straight forward job to do.

After the paint was taken off we painted the car in a 2 pack epoxy primer to help with future corrosion maintenance. This process basically increases the longevity of the body shell. Next was to flat the car and pull any panels out by hand, panel beating them or replacing them in areas which had too much rust on. Next was to flat and prime the car and we painted the car in a beautiful three stage white Pearl which looked amazing in the sunshine.

The engine was put back into the car with having the benefit of the block being skimmed and new gaskets where needed. It is always easier to have the engine out and work on it if you can. New belts and clutch along with brakes and callipers where applied to the car.

New shocks and pipes and hoses were added, along with a final safety check.

The engine was set whilst on the rolling road to give it some extra bhp.
