Rolls Royce Silver Cloud Restoration
Project Information
Project Description:
Rolls Royce Silver Cloud restoration
Again, I congratulate the team at Classic Car Lab in Yorkshire for restoring and painting this beautiful Rolls Royce.
This is a Rolls Royce Silver Cloud which had a large amount of preparation to do such as welding and making sure that all the panels are fitted exactly, and, prepping the panels correctly before painting. Some panels had to be welded and correctly fitted, Lee, our extremely talented welder was able to do this without any issues at all.
95 % of a car’s restoration is preparation, especially when it is down to paintwork. In this case, there was no exception. Building up the primer and sanding it down is down to the talent of the paint sprayer and how patient you are with the car. This process can go on for weeks if not months and in this case it did. we are very lucky to have a team of painters who have decades of experience, so you will not be disappointed with the end result.
It is truly an enormous car which only just fitted into the spray booth and was not an easy car to move around, especially with pipes and a spray gun.
Thankfully, everything is bagged and tagged as we take a car apart so nothing, hopefully, goes astray. I think the colour works extremely well, silver over grey.
lastly the team at Yorkshire’s classic car restoration centre tuned and timed the engine up to emit a beautiful sounding hum on this beautiful Rolls Royce.
