Pateley Bridge Classic & MG Car Show – A Day to Remember for Classic Car Enthusiasts

The stunning Yorkshire Dales provided the perfect setting for this year’s Pateley Bridge Classic & MG Car Show, a highlight in the calendar for lovers of Yorkshire classic cars. The show brought together an incredible mix of vintage motoring heritage, friendly enthusiasts, and a community that truly values the art of preservation.

From the moment we arrived, the showground was alive with colour, chrome, and conversation. Rows of beautifully maintained classics — from elegant pre-war tourers to iconic MGs and legendary sports cars of the 1960s and 70s — reminded us why classic car servicing and proper care are so important in keeping these machines on the road. MG owners turned out in force, proudly displaying everything from perfectly restored examples to lovingly preserved originals.

One of my personal highlights was spotting a BMW CSL, a genuine masterpiece of engineering and design. But the day wasn’t just about cars. The star of the show for us was our loyal four-legged friend, Eddy — a proud German Shorthaired Pointer — who trotted his way to 2nd place in the “Best Dog” competition. Whether posing for photos by a gleaming MG or enjoying the attention from showgoers, Eddy had just as much fun as we did.

The best part of events like this is always the people. We caught up with long-standing customers who trust us for local car servicing and Yorkshire car servicing, and we met plenty of new faces who share our love for keeping automotive history alive.
